Buffalo, New York, April 6, 2010 - Buffalo, New York: Maureen Hurley, Executive Vice President and Chief Administrative Officer of Rich Products Corporation, has been appointed Chair of the Board for the Women’s Foodservice Forum (WFF).
“I am honored to be elected as Chair of the Board of the Women’s Foodservice Forum for the next year,” said Hurley. “WFF is a positive force in our industry, ensuring that we develop female leaders and facilitate career advancement for executive women.”
For more than 20 years, the WFF has been the premier leadership development community for collective insights and connections that empowers women in the foodservice industry. It is a vibrant, highly-charged organization committed to helping women envision and achieve their highest potential through superior programming, conferences, events, facilitated book clubs and webinars. The WFF has led the industry's efforts to develop gender-diverse leadership talent for all segments of the foodservice industry – operators, manufacturers/suppliers and distributors; and it is committed to continue doing so for the next 20 years and beyond. Today, WFF represents more than 2,600 women and men at every management and executive level and in every major sector of the foodservice industry.
Hurley became a member of the WFF’s Board and Executive Committee in 2006. Since then, she has been an active member, offering her feedback and support to other members, encouraging other Rich’s associates to become involved with the organization and hosting WFF events like the “Regional Connect” meetings, which feature speakers who share their personal reflections and stories about individuals from their networks that were influential in their career and personal development.
“Gender diverse leadership has two parts to it,” Hurley noted in her keynote address at the April annual conference in Las Vegas. “The first is ‘ready women,’ and the second is ‘ready organizations;’ the kinds of organizations, like the one I work for right here in Buffalo, Rich Products Corporation. In my year as Chair, I am committed to collaborating with as many industry decision makers as possible to make certain that both parts of the equation become a reality across the industry.”
In her current role at Rich’s, a Hurley is a member of the company’s Executive Leadership Team, while overseeing Rich’s Legal, Human Resources and Corporate Communications functions. She also leads the company’s global licensing team and serves as a key advisor to the Chair, Vice Chair and CEO of Rich’s.
